Reflection
My global learning journey has been one that has shaped me into becoming the woman I am today. Through global learning I have been able to develop skills such as leadership by excelling in my classes and being part of different initiatives together with helping me fulfil one of my biggest goals in life that is to help other through volunteer work. Traveling abroad and being part of more than 2 faculty led programs has broaden my horizons, has led me to have a more critical thinking and to develop adaptability, acceptance, tolerance and global mindsets. This program is one that I encourage everyone to pursue while in college as it is the perfect opportunity to make the best out of it and the benefits that come with being a global learner are tremendous.
This program allowed me also to be more grateful and conscious of what we have, many times, in the fast-passed world we live in we take things for granted and that is the worst one can do. I have been able to witness Love at its purest expressions with kids laughing, playing and being grateful for such small things that humble you. I once heard, be the change you want to see in the world, and I can proudly say that through global learning I have contributed to be that change that I want to see in the world.
